hey this is Steve McKinley for jamplay calm with a lesson on Ibanez ts9 tube screamer mods the ibanez tube screamer is the best-selling overdrive pedal ever and with that being the case it's no wonder that so many want more of what it has to offer so today we're going to cover how to convert a ts9 to ts808 specs so I just want to talk about the differences actually between the ts808 and the ts9 and their similarities so the difference between them is that actually the ts808 actually has a smoother output it has a little bit of a creamier tone to it while the ts9 has more high-end Sparkle a little bit more bite but the similarities between them is actually they share the exact same printed circuit board so actually the differences between them is only two resistors it certainly goes to show how small differences in electronics can make a huge impact okay now we're going to hear a ts9 tub
