Bogen Dynamic Gooseneck Microphone

Hi everybody, I’m Ashlyn from OK Audio. Today I will be making a comparison video on gooseneck microphones, specifically on those with a desktop base. Now, gooseneck microphone, like its name, is shaped like a goose’s neck. Its unique structure makes it the ideal microphone for speech and vocal pick up, usually mounted on rostrum, lecterns, pulpits or conference tables for speakers. Today, we have 4 different gooseneck microphones. The first being SHURE MX-418D/S with MX-400DP base. Then we have ICHOS GM-20D, a sleek looking beauty. Then, we have of course a Japanese brand here, TOA, with its EM-380 AS. And finally, SANYING SY-2401, a popular China brand for gooseneck microphones. Today we will be ranking these four microphones based on Aesthetic & Ease of Functionality, Clarity, Proximity, which measures how close do I have to be to the microphone for the sound of my voice to be heard.
