hey everybody its Jason bring Hearst with professional cable today we're talking about firewire firewire was a technology that was developed by Apple Sony and Texas Instruments to replace these scuzzy technology because two things they needed something that was a faster transfer rate for high demands such as video and scanning and high data transfer rates and they came out with two connectors a six pin and a four pin originally the six pin was going to be on computers and the four pin was going to be on devices and this was called the firewire 400 series then some devices started coming out with six pin and some computers starting coming out a four pin so a four pin the four pin was necessary a 6 pin to six pin was necessary and that is the firewire 400 series now today we have a new series that's called firewire 800 and you might think that that's an eight pin but actually it's a nine
