Greenlee GT-15 Non-Contact Low Voltage Detector by Greenlee

hi this is bill for Sparky channel comm and today I have a tool that's brand new on the market it just came out in September of 2013 it is the Greenlee GT 12a non-contact voltage tester what's really neat about this tool is when you turn it on it test itself automatically is this is an on/off button right here I'm gonna turn off right now ok so now when you turn it on you see it's testing itself you see that a blink every few seconds that means that it's testing all the circuitry not just the batteries it's testing all the circuitry involved with the non-contact voltage tester and the way it does this self test is patented it has a Canadian patent and it has a US patent right on the tool to use the Greenlee GT 12-8 just put it near a source of electricity like this and you see it makes a loud audible noise and a bright LED light flashes now to use it without the sound first turn it off
