i confess to not entirely using this product for its intended purpose i discarded the included alarm portion because i just wanted a pressure mat i could hook to a z-wave contact sensor and use with my z-wave hub i have hubba that but vera smart things or similar should also work to detect all i needed was a pressure mat with two wires that would either open or close the circuit depending on whether enough pressure slash weight was detected and to that end this works perfectly [Music] my couch cushions are not enough to trip the pressure mat but a person sitting on top of the cushion is i wasn't sure what to expect given that i wasn't using a pet resistant variety with a higher weight requirement [Music] if you are using the alarm i imagine it would still work well considering that the mat simply provides two leads you can connect to the alarm in my case i cut this connector off and use
