[Music] all right so we got a we have a Cabo simplex L 1000 this is a mechanical push-button lock it has five buttons on the front of the lock now what we're gonna do today is we're going to reset a lost combination on this lock the way we do that is we take out the the gearbox that's on the inside now there's two types of gearboxes this one is an old gearbox as you see it these are basically identical except for this one has holes on the cover this one does not this is the old style without any holes on it the new style has a cover on the gearbox that has holes you do not have to take the cover off of the new style although you do need to take the cover off of the old style to get to the gears so let me take this lock apart this simplex and we'll see how to get the gearbox out so we can reset a lost combination or just figure out what the lost combination is basically I'm gonna start w
