hello my name is rich Howard owner of architectural Builders Supply in this video is to bring you a closer look at the Kaaba Elko part number sr26248 and focus for us on the bull of that key blank se 1246 okay this is a nickel silver key that has a brass plating over it brass is nice because it looks like a brass key blank except it's better because it's made of nickel silver a more durable base material over brass keys remain of lots of different base materials like well aluminum keys were made of well once upon a time German silver which they call nickel silver brass steel stainless steel plastic whatever else I you know drawing a blank there but a nickel silver key that has a brass collar on it and I think the reason they do that is because the originals from Schlage are gonna be brass this is a cement to be a copy of that key blank this was at one time certainly a restricted sort of
