Replacement Springlatch, Grade 1, 2-3/4"

I'm putting some money 50s in and the locks came with two in three quarterbacks dead latches and I ordered some and e52 and three-eighths dead latches from zero tools and I'm having the same problems with the new ones that I had with the old ones so here's the stock dead latch it operates very well it's very smooth it's a larger diameter than the replacement and it's always returns even if there's a very close tolerance to the strike plate it always springs back so the door watch right and now here's the replacement one with the spacer and just like my other ones that I was having problems with it not returning not latching and there was nothing I could do except jiggle the handle to make the thing latch it sticks and of course it was a poor feel it's a smaller diameter because it has apparently some smaller body with this spacer find it a little hard to believe that this is considered
