hi everyone it's me shraddha from how to electronics one of the main important physical properties of water is the turbidity the turbidity is the measurement of cloudiness or clarity of the liquid almost all the liquid from fruit juice to pharmaceutical product has certain level of cloudiness which determines what the turbidity level is and tells about the physical properties turbidity is considered as a good measure of the quality of water and is major in terms of ntu that is nephelometric turbidity units the who establishes that the turbidity of drinking water should not be more than 5 ntu as would ideally be below 1 ntu the instrument used for measuring it is called nephelometer or turbidimeter which measures the intensity of light scattered at 90 degree as the beam of light passes through a water sample so in this video we will learn about the principle behind water turbidity measur
