Turntable Belt for Sharp RP-113 Turntable

here's a quick demo of the sharp linear tracking stereo turntable rp-113 it's a very basic and simple linear tracking stereo turntable in that all of the guts of this thing are still inside when you lift the lid so unlike a lot of units pioneer for example jvc the arm would go up with the lid and all of the mechanics are inside uh a bunch of plastic you know connected to the lid so almost like a laptop computer where you know the lid goes up and down and and you've got to deal with pinching and twisting a kind of an umbilical this one here keeps everything down below which is great now to surface this thing it did not function at all whenever i got it we can see that it's belt driven the belt had disintegrated and and it given up its guts all inside uh the track that goes around the platter here so that was a real problem but that wasn't all uh if you were to remove this you would see a
