Introduction

QK-A026 merges AIS, GPS and NMEA data. The A026 combines dual channel AIS data, with GPS and NMEA information allowing you to view wirelessly anywhere on your boat (and connect to a chart plotter or device of your choice). The advantage of an integrated GPS is that you can see, not only where the other ships are, but crucially where you are in comparison with them and the coastline.

· Powered SMA connector for 50 Ohm GPS antenna
· Ad Hoc and Station operating modes
· The internal WiFi access point connects up to 4 devices simultaneously
· Plug & play connectivity with chart plotters and PCs
· Compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS (Initial Configuration must be completed using Windows software.)
· This device connects to NMEA 0183 and is compatible with RS422 output devices. NMEA 0183-RS232 devices can connect to our device by using the Garmin Bridge (QK-AS03)
· This device does not come pre-loaded with map data. We advise using openCPN for map data. Some iOS apps may charge for map use

I'm connecting up my quark wireless AIS and GPS receiver right here we have the Wi-Fi antenna for so you can connect it to your iPad or your Macintosh computer and I'm going to be demonstrating both we have a NMEA in and out connector this comes with it this is a mini USB connector over here which I have connected up to I have it connected to a USB auxiliary power port type club plug that I've got plugged into the USB port the mini USB port here now this can also be plugged into a computer and you can use that as your data in and out to the computer or you can use Wi-Fi which is what I'll be demonstrating today also need an AIS antenna I'm just using a relatively inexpensive whip style antenna for now just for testing purposes and you also need a GPS antenna on the left is the little GPS hockey puck style antenna it's an active GPS antenna and then just this little whip style VHF antenn
