Yale Locks & Hardware Cylindrical Passage Set

this procedure explains how to replace a damaged push or turn button on a Yale cylindrical lock there are four tools you're going to need for the procedure a lever removal tool a right angle hook a Philips head screwdriver and a needlenose plier using the lever removal tool remove the inside lever now remove the inside rose scalp use the Philips head screwdriver to remove the two mounting screws remove the inside row support assembly now remove the lock from the door these are the parts being replaced the damaged turn button the spindle that held it in place and a speed clip this is how the speed clip currently looks prior to removal using the right angle hook insert it into the spindle assembly and pry off the speed clip the speed clip will be damaged during removal do not reuse this is the new speed clip and the new turn button that will be installed using the needlenose pliers grasp
