Replacing a Fuel Valve on a Portable Gas Generator This video will show you how to replace a fuel valve and filter. Prepare to drain the fuel by raising the aft end. Position a bowl to catch draining fuel. Squeeze and slide fuel clips to remove pipe. Remove fuel pipe and insert into drain tube. Turn fuel valve on to drain fuel. Clean fuel of any debris or water accumulation. Pour into fuel safe container. Loosen fuel valve. Remove fuel valve and filter. Clean filter of debris. This should also be done during annual service. In this video we put new filter in. Insert filter and position fuel valve. Be sure not to cross screw threads. Tighten gently. Attach fuel pipe. Congratulations!
