hi bill Drummond here today we're gonna be testing the light from three different beauty dishes from elinchrom and one softbox from mellotron we're going to start with the soft light 45 centimeter white from elinchrom this is our hardest light so we're gonna expect to see dark shadows from this and they're gonna be sharp as well this is set at about three feet from our model and we're not going to go any farther than that for today's shooting we're just gonna have all of the lights at the same distance so that we can compare what each light looks like without changing anything so our first shot we're gonna size up on Julia here and see how that looks so here you can see we've got a very hard shadow under Julia's nose under her chin it's quite dark we've got a beautiful catch light in the eye and beautiful shadows and that's what the soft light reflector looks like for non chrome my next
