Recco Rescue Reflector

so i'm here at espo 2019 and we're looking at avalanche safety equipment i've come along to the reco stand we've looked at transceivers probes and shovels and avalanche airbags the reco system has been around for a long time it's really well known and reco integrate their system into many many brands of ski jackets and ski pants as well it's a very well well-known system but it's sometimes misunderstood you know the reco system is not like a transceiver so the other skiers in the group they carry the reflector of the recco but this this is the device that searches for that reco that's inside your jacket it's not something that you can carry in your backpack unless you're a professional the reco system used to be pretty large they've got it down to quite a small size now so professionals can carry that in their backpack 900 ski resorts have this system in place and actually in chamonix f
