okay welcome to part two of my series on servicing an olympus bhtu microscope if you've watched part one of this series you'll know that this is a scope that i bought through ebay and it's desperately in need of service as part of part one we took this sliding focus block assembly apart clean didn't reassemble it and that's now working well and in part two we'll be addressing the course focus mechanism which uh is desperately in need of service as well if you've been following along in part one then your scope will be in a situation where the back cover is off and your gearbox is out and the rest the brass rack focus rack on the back of the focus block here will be removed from your scope if that's the case just skip ahead to step four on this and you should be back on track if you have not yet so if you have not performed the service in part one then i will show you now how to remove t
