what's going on guys my name is Brandon and today I'm going to show you how to rebuild a vacuum operated fuel petcock for a 1998 to 2006 suzuki katana 600 and I'm sure it probably does all kinds of other models hopefully this video will help somebody the first thing we gotta do guys we've got to drain the fuel tank the way this petcock works is that the arrow if it's down that's on this way is reserved this way is prime so the way prime works is that it's always running it's basically in the on position you'd normally run your bike in the on position here okay the on position for this type is a diaphragm that so it will only flow fuel if there's a vacuum against the diaphragm if you're leaking fuel and your pet is in the on position with this type of fuel valve and fuel is leaking from your pet then you need to rebuild this okay so if the pet in the on position you should get no fuel co
