hi everyone I'm Matthew Mona's and this is the Asus g7 5 2 vs OC Edition it may look very familiar to you because I reviewed a similar model with the gtx 970m graphics card about 7 months ago well asus has refreshed its popular 17-inch gaming laptop using the latest Pascal GPUs the 1070 inside significantly outperforms the 9 ATM and almost runs as fast as the desktop equivalent so a lot of you been asking me whether you should buy a laptop with the latest 1000 series GPUs or wait for the price to drop and grab a laptop within our older 900 series well let's find out so let's start with the design it's pretty much identical to the previous model has an aluminum top with brushstrokes and a gray color that Asus calls armored titanium the middle has a republic of gamer logo with two angled stripes and plasma copper that light up when you turn the laptop on however my favorite design choice
