HP EliteBook 8740w Base Model Mobile Workstation

hi everyone welcome back to another video today we have this laptop this right here is an hp elitebook 8740w this laptop was released in april of 2011 for around 2700 dollars and it features an intel core i7 m620 a 500 gigabyte hard drive four gigabytes of ddr3 ram and a nvidia quadro fx 2800 m which powers the 1920 by 1217 inch led display let's find out if this mobile workstation from nine years ago is still usable in 2020 alright after i got the laptop i of course plugged it in to see if it actually worked luckily it still did alright now that i know that the laptop works it's time to give it some love i started by cleaning the case and after that it was time to replace the thermal paste [Music] now with the laptop clean it's time to install windows the installation went fast and easy just like it should be now it's time to install the drivers installing the drivers also went smooth
